- RSM Group FAQ's
WHAT IS AN INSURANCE BROKER?
A professional adviser who helps identify risks you or your business may face, and assists in arranging the most appropriate insurance cover for your individual circumstances. An RSM Insurance Broker also provides education, strategies, advice and support through the lifetime of your cover.
DO YOU SELL INSURANCE?
No – we provide an insurance service, not the insurance product. We help you choose the best insurance cover that is right for you and your business and organise the purchase of this cover on your behalf through specialised insurance providers. We work for you, not the insurance provider.
WHAT DOES IT COST TO USE RSM GROUP?
In many instances, we save our clients’ money by tailoring insurance plans and negotiating the best possible cover. We do get paid for our services – the insurance company we place your cover through pays us a commission, which is built into the premium payable. We also charge fees for services provided.
WHAT TYPE OF INSURANCE DO YOU OFFER ADVICE ON?
We offer a fully diversified insurance service specialising in several key industries, including transport, logistics and construction. We have working relationships with insurance providers both nationally and abroad, providing our clients with a broad range of product exposure for the best possible cover. If it’s insurable, chances are we provide advice on it.
WHAT IF I NEED TO MAKE A CLAIM?
We handle your claim from start to finish. From the initial event, to filling out forms, speaking with third parties, negotiating, and finalising settlement – we do all the hard work for you, so you can get back to business. It’s not just paperwork we handle either, we walk with you every step of the way, mentoring you through difficult times and offering an expert voice when you need it most.
HOW DO I PAY FOR MY INSURANCE PREMIUMS?
It depends on the type of cover you require and insurance you purchase. Sometimes, premium payments are straight forward. Other times, we offer premium funding and finance through a dedicated third party, allowing a range of premium payment options for larger or more complex cover.
